19th Annual Bluegrass Benefit Concert
for St. Joseph House of Hospitality
The unofficial kick-off to Western Pennsylvania's bluegrass season, this year's Bluegrass Benefit features Allegheny Drifters, Brush Creek, Echo Valley, Fern Hollow, Jakob's Ferry Stragglers, and emcee Bruce Mountjoy of WYEP.
Held at Synod Hall in Oakland, the 19th Annual Bluegrass Benefit Concert follows pre-concert beer-sampling and light snacks with Rivertowne Brewing, at 5:45 pm. The music starts at 7 pm, and during intermission coffee and desserts will be served and raffle prize winners announced. All proceeds benefit St. Joseph House of Hospitality, Catholic Charities' Hill District residence for men over 50 that provides year-round support, furnished rooms, meals, and services.
