St. Joseph House of Hospitality

Located in Pittsburgh's Hill District, St. Joseph House of Hospitality provides fully furnished, private rooms; full meal services; and case management for up to 60 older men.  Roughly 50% of St. Joseph's residents are veterans, and all have experienced, or been threatened with, homelessness.  At St. Joe's, they not only find a safe home where all their material needs are met: they also have the opportunity to work towards, and succeed at their personal goals with the gentle guidance of our case workers and community partners.

19th Annual Bluegrass Benefit Concert

for St. Joseph House of Hospitality

The unofficial kick-off to Western Pennsylvania's bluegrass season, this year's Bluegrass Benefit features Allegheny Drifters, Brush Creek, Echo Valley, Fern Hollow, Jakob's Ferry Stragglers, and emcee Bruce Mountjoy of WYEP.

Held at Synod Hall in Oakland, the 19th Annual Bluegrass Benefit Concert follows pre-concert beer-sampling and light snacks with Rivertowne Brewing, at 5:45 pm.  The music starts at 7 pm, and during intermission coffee and desserts will be served and raffle prize winners announced.  All proceeds benefit St. Joseph House of Hospitality, Catholic Charities' Hill District residence for men over 50 that provides year-round support, furnished rooms, meals, and services.
